WordPress offers a stable, flexible and highly configurable platform that provides a one-stop shop as a web development tool and a publishing forum for students and faculty. It offers students the chance to write reflectively for various audiences, giving them practice in having their voices heard and their views considered by a wide variety of individuals.

The briefs in the “7 Things You Should Know About…” series describe emerging learning technologies  in 7 questions: 'What is it?', 'How does it work? ', 'Who is doing it?', 'Why is it significant?', 'What are the downsides? ', 'Where is it going?' and 'What are the implications for teaching and learning?'. They are excellent if you are looking for a quick and easy-to-understand overview of a particular e-learning tool.  If you are pressed for time, the scenarios that introduce each pdf are well worth the five minutes you’ll need to read them. You will find similar resources on the Educause website.
